I am taking french because I have gotten pretty far in Spanish. I have reached a point where I can either focus on becoming fluent in Spanish or I can start to work on becoming proficient in another language. My friend David, who graduated last year, decided to take french and he really enjoyed it, so that encouraged me also. Plus, to become fluent in Spanish, I would have to go to a Spanish speaking country, but right now I am more focused on sports and I don't have the time to. Aside from all that, learning languages really interests me; I like to learn how different languages work. French seemed like the obvious choice because it is close to Spanish and English and it is offered at our school.
